Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m based in Cape Coral, Florida, but I offer virtual therapy sessions to clients across the entire state. This allows me to support you no matter where you are in Florida, without the need for in-office visits.

  • Phone-based counseling is individual therapy conducted through secure, confidential audio sessions rather than video or in-person meetings. The therapeutic work is the same in intention and care, but the format allows some clients to feel more at ease, less self-conscious, and more internally focused. Learn more here.

  • Online therapy with me is simple, secure, and flexible. I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform through my electronic health record system, Simple Practice. After scheduling a session, you’ll receive a private link to join our video call. The platform ensures a confidential space for us to connect, with reliable video quality and built-in tools for communication, scheduling, and paperwork.

For clients who prefer not to be on camera, sessions may also be offered by phone. Many people find audio-only sessions to be less activating and more supportive of nervous system regulation. At this time, phone sessions are available on a self-pay basis only, as insurance plans typically require video for reimbursement. We can talk together about which option feels most supportive and aligns with your needs. Sliding scale options are available for phone-only sessions. Please don’t let cost become a barrier.

Whether you’re at home or anywhere you feel comfortable, virtual therapy allows us to work together in a way that supports your life and your healing.

  • I currently offer only virtual therapy sessions via phone and video, which allows me to work with clients throughout all of Florida. While I don’t offer in-person sessions, I find that phone and virtual therapy provides the flexibility and convenience to connect in a safe and comfortable space for you, wherever you are.

  • Your out of pocket expense will vary depending on your type of service, insurance, and payment method. For video sessions, I currently accept Aetna, Carelon, Cigna, United Healthcare, Optum, Oxford, Surest, UMR, Meritain and Sunshine Medicaid. If you have one of these types of insurance, I can help verify your coverage to ensure you’re getting the most out of your benefits. For those with out-of-network insurance, I will issue you a monthly superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

The out-of-network and private pay fees for video sessions are as follows: intake session is $175, all subsequent sessions are $135.

For clients who prefer a simpler, less stimulating format, I also offer phone-based counseling (audio-only sessions) as a self-pay service. Phone sessions are not billed to insurance due to payer requirements, but they are offered at a reduced rate of $80 per session. Many clients choose this option because it allows for greater comfort, flexibility, and nervous system regulation, including the ability to move, walk, or rest during sessions without the pressure of being on camera.

  • During your first appointment, you can expect to feel welcomed into a safe and supportive space where your feelings and experiences are respected. We’ll take the time to build trust and ensure that you feel comfortable, discussing what brought you to therapy and any goals you have for our work together. I’ll guide you through the process, answering any questions you may have, and together we’ll create a plan that feels right for you. My priority is to ensure you feel safe and heard, and that you leave the session with a sense of clarity and understanding about the next steps in your healing.

  • The length of time you’ll be in therapy really depends on your unique needs, goals, and how you’re feeling as we work together. Some people find relief and progress in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term support as they navigate deeper issues. We’ll regularly check in on your goals, and together we’ll determine the pace that feels right for you. The most important thing is that you’re supported and moving toward healing at a pace that feels comfortable.
